Exploring Bamfield

We'll land in Bamfield where you'll have two options of activities: a trip to the boardwalk and Brady's Beach or a town day with a visit to the historic museum and the Marine Science Centre (tour times Wed/Fri/Sun 1 - 2 pm only), a world-class teaching and research facility. The Marine Centre supports diverse coastal and marine research of the highest calibre and is recognized as among the very best research and training facilities in the world. This excursion includes a 1.5 hour layover in Bamfield.

Friendly Cove Fly-in Adventure

Let us fly you into Friendly Cove for a spectacular one-of-a-kind West Coast adventure at one end of the Nootka Trail. After a scenic flight over 45 miles of uninhabited wilderness and astounding coastal topography, we'll leave you to enjoy exquisite beaches, rocky headlands, pristine waters, and tidal shelves. Open to the public is one of the original Roman Catholic churches to be built on Vancouver Island. Often referred to as the birthplace of British Columbia, Yuquot or Friendly Cove was the location where West Coast indigenous people first met with European explorers. The meeting of Chief Maquinna and Captain Cook was the beginning of the lucrative West Coast fur trade. Bring a lunch (or on request we will gladly recommend one for you), your walking shoes and a keen sense of adventure.

Relax, Naturally: Hot Springs Cove Day Trip or Overnighter

"Been there... done that... got the BEACH TOWEL!" You can't come to Tofino and not visit the amazing Hot Springs Cove, one of BC's natural sulphurous hot springs located 23 miles northwest of Tofino. A 20-minute scenic flight over the Clayoquot Sound's fjord-like coastline takes you there, and a self-guided walk through old growth forest leads you to the springs. The springs are approximately 105 degrees. We suggest a small day-pack with food, water, bathing suit, towel, and sun screen... don't forget your camera. Please allow a minimum of 4 hours for this trip, or your may wish to overnight at the Innchanter B&B (innchanter.com) or the spring's campground. Extra charges may be incurred for transport of camping gear and park user feeds.

Scenic Flights & Glacier Tours!

Tours range from 20-minutes to 45-minutes and can be customized to suit your schedule and budget. Our 45-minute Discovery Tour climbs into the glaciers of Strathcona Park. Weather permitting we may fly over the highest waterfall in Canada, Della Falls. As we descend to the coast of Clayoquot Sound, the scenery is absolutely spectacular - miles of beaches and craggy remote islands are framed by the coast's impenetrable rainforest.
